How mobile location and search-marketing tools are benefiting small businesses

Advances in mobile marketing technology and mobile search are proving a boon to small businesses as features such as location-based targeting and mobile-social sharing help reach more customers. Google, for example, now offers businesses the chance to bid more for search words targeted to customers within a certain distance of a store or who are using a smartphone for search. "Local merchants have a better opportunity on mobile, in part because they can craft it to fit their business," Mobile Marketing Association CEO Greg Stuart said.
