International ice cream treats hit the sweet spot

Just about every culture has its own version of ice cream whether it is shaved ice with sweet beans in Hawaii or kulfi, the Indian dessert made with condensed milk, sugar and various flavorings including saffron. The methods for making the frozen treats run the gamut -- from banana ice cream made in a blender to the kulfi that simmers in a slow cooker.
