Patients are happy to see the NP, study finds

A patient survey shows that most people are happy to see a nurse practitioner or physician assistant rather than wait to see a doctor, according to a study from the Association of American Medical Colleges reported in Health Affairs. It coincides with a study in the Journal of the American Board of Family Medicine, which found that 60% of family physicians routinely collaborate with NPs, certified nurse-midwives and physician assistants.
