Robotic device transmits sensory feel to remote surgeons

A small diaphragm developed by Cambridge Research and Development can be strapped anywhere on a body and serve to give surgeons a sense of feel or pressure as they maneuver a remote robot working with delicate tissue. At the robot end of things, surgical tools equipped with resistive and capacitive sensors transmit pressure information to the diaphragm device.
