Stripe API gives developers easier access to bank transfers

Stripe has added a U.S. bank transfer feature to its mobile-payments platform. The application programming interface is likely to be used by third-party developers who need easier connections to banks, Ben Woods writes. "These marketplaces require payments on two sides. As ever, you have to charge the customer, but as the provider shifts from being a single entity to a multiplicity of suppliers, you also need to coordinate complex payouts," Stripe said in a blog post.
