U.S. bans import of some Apple products

The U.S. International Trade Commission has banned some older versions of the iPhone and the iPad from being imported. Apple plans to appeal the decision, which says the devices violate a Samsung Electronics patent. The decision could help Samsung shed the "copycat label," while "it seems inevitable that the latest ruling will have a negative impact on Apple," said analyst Park Hyun of TongYang Securities.
