U.S. factory orders up marginally in April

U.S. factory orders rose a disappointing 1% in April, although orders for durable goods were up 3.5%, suggesting a possibly brighter outlook beyond the second quarter. "The economy is gradually healing, and as we move through time, you'll see manufacturing do better," said Michael Moran, a Daiwa Capital Markets economist in New York.
