Some teachers move to develop their own common core materials

The implementation of the Common Core State Standards has been difficult for teachers, with some saying they are being asked to move forward with tougher standards without needed materials. For districts, according to this article, there are a few options. One approach is to move forward with existing materials, while a second is trying to buy new materials. A third option that appears to be gaining steam is for educators to create their own materials.
