Skylights, windows and roofs were damaged in the Logan View School District in Fremont, Neb., after a storm sent down hailstones as large as baseballs. For example, the free-floating roof atop the elementary school gym requires extensive repairs, after it was partially lifted by the storm. "They're going to have to do some substantial work on the roof. They may have to remove the membrane, put everything back in place, put the membrane back down and then put the ballast back down," said Jeremy Klein, the school board's superintendent.
