Studies crush hopes for anti-cancer diets

A variety of proposed anti-cancer strategies, including increasing fiber to prevent colon tumors and reducing fat to prevent breast cancer, could not be proven in recent studies. Doctors learned that diet plays a more important role in childhood than in older years, however, and that the amount of food eaten may be more important than the type.
