Sen. Cornyn says he wants a more targeted energy bill

Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, said he is more interested in crafting smaller, targeted energy proposals than the far-reaching energy-and-climate legislation written by Sens. John Kerry, D-Mass., and Joe Lieberman, I-Conn. Responding to calls by Kerry to support the comprehensive bill, Cornyn said, "I think rather than try to hit a grand slam home run, I'd like to work with Sen. Kerry and others to try to hit some singles."
