AMR is close to a regional flying deal with American Eagle, union says

The Air Line Pilots Association at American Eagle said that AMR, parent company of American Airlines, is nearing a deal that would have American Eagle provide regional flying as a stand-alone carrier. The pilots' union also said it has notified AMR that American Eagle will struggle to hire enough pilots for the plan. AMR has been considering whether to sell, spin off or launch a public stock offering of American Eagle.
