Ideas for making lessons interactive

Interactive teaching can be more effective than lecturing, says University of Central Florida professor Kevin Yee, who recommends several teaching methods to increase engagement. Yee suggests an exercise in which one student is nominated to tweet the most important points learned during a lesson, with other students following and contributing to the Twitter feed. In another activity, students create blogs from the point of view of someone central to the content being learned.
