Precast panels go into Canadian bridge work

The use of precast concrete is speeding the replacement of an Edmonton, Alberta, interchange. The $173.5 million project includes the installation of precast panels on seven bridge structures. The use of precast -- instead of cast-in-place material -- minimizes traffic disruption by cutting down work time.
