Australian dollar skids to 20-month low

The Australian dollar has reached a 20-month low against its U.S. counterpart, plunging more than 1% on Thursday. Investors are keying in to several negative factors, including a slide in mining investment, the prospect of slowly ending quantitative easing in the U.S. and a sluggish Chinese economy.
