Banks deregistering under JOBS Act decrease

The Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act lets banks that have fewer than 1,200 shareholders not have to register with the Securities and Exchange Commission, and 116 banks have filed to deregister, according to SNL Financial. Five banks have filed this quarter, compared with 75 in Q2 of 2012, when the JOBS Act kicked in.
