Echo launches trial to help it obtain CE mark for Symphony device

Echo Therapeutics has initiated a multicenter clinical study of its Symphony system, a wireless device that can monitor glucose continuously in a noninvasive manner. The study, which will involve 32 critically ill patients from four hospitals in the U.S., could help pave the way for CE mark approval of the transdermal device in Europe.
