Startup develops technology to integrate ICU patient data

ICU technology often is not integrated so Etiometry, a startup company in Boston, is creating a clinical-decision support system that analyzes large amounts of patient data and gives physicians actionable information, such as which patients are at risk for adverse events. "You have all this data generated in the ICU, but you don't have a technology that does anything with it," said vice president and chief technology officer Dimitar Baronov.
