The SunWater project aims to help rural farmers, curb poverty

Rural farmers in Ghana, China and other developing areas have to work hard and spend hours each day hauling the water they need to keep their small crops alive until harvest, writes "Out of Poverty" author Paul Polak. The SunWater project aims to create affordable solar-powered irrigation systems that would allow rural farmers to increase yields, create jobs and lift themselves and their neighbors out of poverty.
