Turkey might be vulnerable to crisis triggered by capital flight

Because of its reliance on billions of dollars of short-term loans, Turkey is at risk of a sharp economic downturn if foreign investors cut off the flow of capital and start pulling their money out of the country, analysts say. The Turkish lira has lost 8% of its value in recent months, interest rates are rising and the nation's stock market has dropped 9% in the past week.
