U.S., Microsoft collaborate to knock down botnet network

The U.S. government and Microsoft have disrupted a major botnet network carrying malware called Citadel that cybersecurity experts believe is responsible for the loss of half a billion dollars. Citadel has affected more than 5 million users worldwide. "The bad guys will feel the punch in the gut," said Richard Domingues Boscovich of Microsoft's Digital Crimes Unit.
