Air ambulance technology arrives in Michigan's UP

Marquette General Hospital is the new home of Valley Med Flight, offering the first air ambulance transport in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, which has some 16,000 square miles of wilderness. “We do critical care medicine, so we’re doing what happens in the ICU in this little aircraft," said flight paramedic Greg Baty, who added that the helicopter is staffed with critical care nurses and medics who have emergency experience.
