Hyundai Motor to build R&D center for auto chips, electronics

Hyundai Motor Group is spending $97.9 million on constructing a research and development center for automotive electronics and semiconductors, which is expected to open in the first half of 2015. The Korean company hopes the facility will help it catch up with Toyota in developing auto-electronics technology.
