Study ties diabetes to higher risk of unnatural death

Diabetes patients had a higher risk of unnatural deaths associated with suicide, fatal drug and insulin overdose, and accident compared with the general population, a study in Diabetes Care revealed. The findings suggest that preventive interventions should focus on safe prescribing and medication monitoring in patients, researchers said.
