New South Wales votes overwhelmingly for therapeutic cloning

Australia's state of New South Wales voted overwhelmingly to allow cloning of human embryos for therapeutic purposes. The lower house of Parliament in NSW, the country's most populous state, voted 65-26 for the legislation over the objections of the Catholic Church, but the bill still needs approval by the upper house.
