Study: DNA variations play role in seven common diseases

U.K. researchers report identifying 24 genetic risk factors that are linked to seven common human diseases. They detected DNA variations that are common to Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, coronary artery disease, bipolar disorder, Crohn's disease, hypertension, and rheumatoid arthritis.
