Jobless rate will stay up, but stimulus will help construction

The nation's unemployment rate could pass 10% by the end of 2009, experts say. They also say it could take several years before the economy begins to add jobs again at a meaningful rate because employers want to make sure business has improved before hiring more workers. However, they also note that the economic stimulus package is creating or saving jobs in the construction sectors as state and local governments embark on infrastructure projects.
