Fewer big accounts are in play in 2010

Although agency executives and search consultants say the new business climate in 2010 is healthy, the number of accounts in review or changing hands and their value has dropped, compared with January through May of last year, because fewer big accounts are up for grabs. "Over the last few years, there were a disproportionate number of big media reviews and you only have so many of those to go around," said Tom Finneran, executive vice president of the 4A's and a member of its new business committee.
