Stater Bros. CEO criticizes proposed bag ban

A proposal to ban the use of plastic bags at California grocery stores "smells like politics," said Jack Brown, CEO of Stater Bros. "It seems to me that if the purpose of this bill is to improve the environment, everybody ought to do it," he said of the measure, which would apply to only grocery and convenience stores.
