Strong semiconductor demand sustains KMG Chemicals' Q3 growth

KMG Chemicals posted a fiscal third-quarter net-income increase of 20% on strong sales in its expanded unit for electronic chemicals, earning $3.3 million, compared with $2.8 million during the same period last year. The specialty chemicals maker got a boost in electronic chemicals partly from acquiring the competing unit of General Chemicals, while demand from the semiconductor sector continued to buoy sales.
