Study: Not following heart failure guidelines costs lives

A study in the American Heart Journal found that about 70,000 Americans die each year because they don't receive optimal heart failure treatments as called for by medical guidelines. University of California, Los Angeles, researchers reviewed six evidence-based treatments for heart failure and found that more than 2 million patients who were eligible for them did not receive them.
