Barbara Taylor discusses the day she realized the biggest problem with her business was her. After being awoken by a 4:15 a.m. phone call, she had to rush to her flagship coffee shop to cover for a missing employee. She says something had to change. "Many owners reach a point in the life of their businesses where they hit a wall, a point beyond which they are either unable or unwilling to go," she wrote. Experts offered her advice on getting past that wall, but eventually she decided to sell the business.
