175,000 jobs added in May, unemployment rate rose to 7.6%

The unemployment rate for May rose to 7.6% from 7.5% in April, according to the Department of Labor. The economy added 175,000 jobs for the month. The uptick in the jobless rate was attributed to an increase in the number of people who began looking for work.
