CEO: AMC Networks is realizing benefits of original content

AMC Networks, during its annual shareholders meeting, had much to celebrate. Overall revenue last year went up 14% to $1.4 billion, while ad revenue increased 17%. The company is reaping rewards from its slate of original shows such as "The Walking Dead," "Breaking Bad" and "Mad Men" on AMC and building out content for Sundance Network through projects like "Top of the Lake" and "Rectify," CEO Josh Sapan said.
