Cultural engagement needs to begin on day 1

An employee's impression of an organization's culture is often cemented on the first day, and failing to teach it properly can lead to poorer productivity and engagement, experts say. "You can't do it all via WebEx or webinar. You lose that personal touch, and a lot of [culture] gets communicated through that personal touch," says Kelly Botto of Camden Consulting Group.
