Maine Senate votes for short-term Medicaid expansion

The Maine Senate voted in support of a compromise measure on Medicaid. The approach would allow the state to expand Medicaid eligibility under the Affordable Care Act for the three years, during which time the federal government will shoulder 100% of expansion costs, and then drop out of the expansion. At that time, the state could reconsider the issue.
