Report: Sugar policy harms businesses, consumers

A report from agriculture consulting company Agralytica finds changes made to U.S. sugar policy in 2008 cost consumers an additional $3.7 billion a year because of price spikes. The changes made “a bad program even worse and have destabilized the U.S. sugar market," said Agralytica Vice President Tom Earley.
