Salesforce.com taps Oracle veteran as president

Keith Block, a 26-year veteran of Oracle who left the software company a year ago, was named vice chairman and president of Salesforce.com to run the global sales, consulting services and customer-support divisions. Block built "a multi-billion dollar sales business unit that achieved record revenue growth and margin expansion over the span of 10 years," Salesforce.com said in a statement. The company's CEO, Marc Benioff, also is a former Oracle executive.
