Consumer advice: Check trans fat and saturated fat on food labels

Registered Dietician Karen Collins offers advice on how to decipher labels on food that contain trans fat. Before food companies are legally required to list how much trans fat is in their products, Collins suggests tracking the amount of trans fat as well as saturated fats, the latter of which has been linked to high cholesterol and a possible increase in cancer risk.
