Europeans turn to healthier snacks

Europeans are grabbing more dried fruit and cereal bars when they need a snack, which is eroding sales in the traditional snack and crisp market, according to market research. Savory snack sales fell 17% and crisp sales dipped 9% between 2002 and 2005, based on volume, Mintel reports.
