School milk vending machines run by non-profits

A non-profit consortium of dairy farmers, veterinarians, agriculture extension professionals, nutritionists and others supply and service milk vending machines in 17 schools in northwestern Iowa, reports a vending machine trade publication. The machines sold 25,000 bottles of milk this past school year, and are part of a growing trend among grassroots dairy interests, providing milk in whole, skim, 2% and flavored varieties.
