Editorial: Chicago students need more class days:

Currently, Chicago students spend less time in class than students in 26 other districts studied by Kate Walsh, president of the National Council on Teacher Quality. This year, 132 Chicago schools will begin in early August. But that's just extending the school year and not the number of days spent in school, writes the Chicago Tribune editorial board.
