Casual dress can sink a good first impression, cautions Anthony Balderrama. Interviewees and new hires alike would be wise to dress formally until they get a feel for their officemates' attire. "I expect business attire, preferably a suit. I want the interviewee to look like they mean business and are mature enough to handle a fast-paced workplace," says Golin Harris account supervisor Marianne Hancock.
