FCC still undecided on deadline for cross-ownership filings

Cox Enterprises, Calvary Inc., Bonneville, Scranton Times LP and Morris Communications have received an extension until Aug. 10 for applications for cross-ownership waivers, amendments and renewals under the agency's cross-ownership regulations. The media companies had sought a deadline of 90 days after the 3rd U.S Circuit Court of Appeals final decision on the legality of the Federal Communications Commission's new cross-ownership regulations; the FCC instead has agreed to the Aug. 10 date as it mulls whether to grant the 90-day stay.
