New Meru software tracks WLAN data, seeks out patterns

Meru Networks' upgraded wireless LAN management tool searches for "events" from packet-level data and finds patterns of its interaction with access points and backup servers to return systems online more quickly, according to the vendor. Version 2.0 of E(z)RF Network Management runs on a dedicated appliance to discover problems and root out the exact cause, a procedure Meru said would save IT management precious problem-solving time.
