Airline ancillary fees are a big headache for corporate-travel managers

Ancillary airline fees might irk nearly all travelers, but they are a particular problem for corporate-travel managers, who are not able to identify and track the fees as easily as other travel costs, and for whom the fees throw a wrench in efforts to determine the full, true cost of an airline ticket. With more than $7.8 billion in ancillary fees charged by U.S. airlines in 2009, the rate is up more than 40% over 2008.
