Creativity blossoms at vegan cook-off

Three chefs in Portland, Ore., had 75 minutes to create three dishes using chocolate during a recent vegan cooking competition. The winner was Qausu AsaaseYaa of the food cart Asaase Ital Palace, who served the judges fried plantains with a chocolate-coconut dipping sauce, a ground-nut and cocoa soup, and peanut toffee with chocolate-cashew cream.
