Portion control, less fat are key to weight loss for men

Men who successfully lose weight reduce portion sizes and limit fat intake but don't always follow dietary recommendations, according to data from the Self-Help, Exercise, and Diet Using Information Technology or SHED-IT study. Researchers said that the men in the study who were most successful at losing weight had fruit and vegetable intake and fiber intake below the recommended levels.
