Scientists develop technique to retain current state of cancer stem cells

U.S. scientists said they were able to prevent breast cancer stem cells from developing into other forms of cancer-forming cells by marking them with a green fluorescent protein and Oct3/4, a stem-cell-specific promoter. They said their finding will enable scientists to study cancer stem cells and test drug candidates against the disease.
