Tesco CEO to retire in 2011

Sir Terry Leahy said today he will step down as CEO of Tesco. Leahy, who has been in the position for 14 years, will be succeeded by Philip Clarke, Tesco's head of international operations. "When I became CEO I had a plan," Leahy said. "It has taken 14 years, but that strategy has become a firm reality now and so I feel my work is almost complete."
